The freedom we have to enjoy what we love to do, including searching high and low for fun Vintage and Antiques, is due, in large part, to the sacrifice of those who paid the ultimate price to preserve our freedom, and those who protected us here at home.

Every textile tells a story!

So here's my story....

My dear friend, Heidi Henricks, owner of @chaparral_needlework has been a huge fan and advocate of my Vintage Textiles for Needlepoint, finishing since I began selling them.

One of our first collaborations was her penguin ornament series, and she selected four different textiles to finish the four different penguin canvases. This plaid textile was one of the designs she selected.

Fast forward to May 2023, and I found an entire dress made from the same Feed Sack cloth. Swipe for my video explanation. Such a fun find!

And this dress really tells the story of American textiles, and how they were utilized leading up to, and during the Depression.

My favorite part of the story is that it's not over!

As the needlepoint community continues to embrace finishing projects with these beautiful Antique and Vintage Textiles, the story goes on and on!
