OK….I’m sure that when most people think of a vacation at Disney World, getting back to Nature is not the first thing that comes to mind.  But, on a recent trip, generously hosted by the amazing Walt Disney World Resorts Team, I had the opportunity to experience two fantastic properties that perfectly combine getting back to Nature with the Magic of Disney!

DISNEY’S FORT WILDERNESS RESORT & CAMPGROUND

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground makes guests feel like they are in the center of the American frontier, surrounded by 750 acres of pine and cypress forest. There are three ways to experience getting back to nature at this Moderate property:  Campsites, perfect for tents or pop ups; full RV hook-ups; and my personal favorite, The Cabins!

Now….this is my kind of glamping….er….camping!  Plenty of room for a family, and a full kitchen!  There’s a nice deck attached to every cabin, so you can enjoy eating or simply playing a fun board game outside.

In true Disney style, there’s so many choices for entertainment at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.  A great pool, with a kid’s zone, an outdoor movie theater with a food truck for night-time treats (unique and special to this property!), horseback riding, archery range, carriage rides….all designed to help guests with getting back to Nature, the Disney way!

DISNEY’S WILDERNESS LODGE & COPPER CREEK VILLAS & CABINS

Another opportunity for getting back to Nature is at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge & Copper Creek Villas & Cabins.  Channeling the rustic majesty of America’s Great Northwest, this Deluxe property makes it hard to believe you are actually in central Florida!

On this trip, I had the opportunity to tour one of 26 unique 2-Bedroom/2-bathroom waterfront Cascade Cabins. These private, luxurious quarters can sleep up to 8 Guests and are exclusive to Copper Creek Villas & Cabins. In addition to a washer and dryer and a fully equipped, open-style kitchen, each Cabin features a double-sided stone-hearth fireplace and screened-in wraparound porch with a built-in hot tub.

Y’all…..I might be a cowgirl….but THIS cowgirl like the looks of that screened in hot tub…talk about a TREAT and the perfect vehicle for getting back to nature after a long day on your feet in one of Disney’s theme parks!

Getting back to Nature at a Walt Disney World resort seems like the perfect vacation to me!
