FC Edwards Advertising Plate

 

This FC Edwards Advertising Plate is dated 1909, and was made to advertise the company in Illinois.  The garlands and bows surrounding each calendared month are so dainty and lovely!  A great piece of American history!  It is in perfect condition, with only very slight wear to the center decoration.  It measures 7″.  Item #06-100d

Advertising calendar plates were given away by merchants, mainly in small towns, in the early part of the 20th century as complimentary gifts. They are small and were intended for display.
